About Me
Hi there! I started doing my PhD in the VUSec research group at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2024 under the supervision of dr. Cristiano Giuffrida.
My current focus is on microarchitectural security research, working on topics in the areas of speculative execution, MDS and microcode with a particular focus on identifying what makes modern computer hardware prone to vulnerabilities like Spectre or Meltdown.
Before joining VUSec, I completed my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Secure Information Systems (with distinction) with a thesis on Secure Boot mechanisms for RISC-V systems. During that time I also served as a server administrator for the Hagenberger Kreis, an organization dedicated to raising the awareness for (computer) security topics in Austria. I received my Master’s degree in Computer Security from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (cum laude), where I graduated with a thesis on Sanitizers under the supervision of dr. Cristiano Giuffrida.
Next to security, hardware and other work-related topics, my main interests include books, astronomy (as well as astrophysics) and philosophy.
